Can I borrow a gun from a friend/family member?
Yes, you may borrow a friend/family member’s pistol as long as the owner of the gun is present for the duration of the class.
In the state of Michigan, it is illegal for you to be in possession of another’s gun – even if they have given you permission to use it without them being present. If you unlawfully possess a gun that is not registered to you, you risk being charged with a crime.
Should you choose to bring a gun that does not belong to you and use it while the owner is not present, you will be asked to leave the class and no refund will be issued.
